Personal support to help you discover ways to cut back on alcohol and the benefits you’ll experience.
Our support is free and can help reduce your risk of developing illnesses and improve your wellbeing.
There is no ‘safe’ drinking level. Regularly drinking more than the low risk level of 14 units a week can be harmful.
The Service Provider will also offer an online Alcohol Identification and Brief Advice service in consultation with the Commissioners. The online tool should include the following:

| 20+ | Possible alcohol dependence | Drug and Alcohol Specialist Treatment Service | Tier 3 and where appropriate Tier 4 access to rehab/detox -depending on SADQ |
You can still enjoy a drink, but have a smaller one – swap a pint for a bottle of beer or a large glass of wine for a small one. Or why not order a spritzer or shandy instead.
Swap strong beers or wines for lower–strength ones.
Sipping a soft drink or water between alcoholic drinks will help reduce the amount of alcohol you drink and help you stay hydrated.
Buying your own drinks means you don’t have to keep up with fastest drinker in the group – plus you’ll save money too!

Before you start drinking, set a limit on how much you’re going to drink and only take out a fixed amount of money to spend on alcohol.
